Shoreland Network Solutions carried out work in August 2023 to support the construction of our new Pilot Station and the demolition of our former Pilot Station at Barry Docks.

The work consisted of CAT 6A Cu cable testing, re-location and re-termination of existing fibre link to new pilots station and installation of 2No temporary links in copper cable.

The full scope of works was carried out to the highest standard of professionalism and competence with completion taking place in a timely manner so that there was no impact on our shipping operations.

The two Shoreland Engineers were extremely accommodating, advised on various other aspects of the works to enable a more holistic understanding of the project to be gained, and answered my many network related questions (which also included a demonstration of the testing of fibres using an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer).
